Palouse and Other Pleasures

Exhibit from May 7 through May 28, 2005
Opening Reception, May 7, 1:00pm - 5:00pm, Artists Present

The exhibit Palouse and other Pleasures consists of artwork from husband
and wife artists Mira Reisburg and Guy Geduldig. Mira and Guy live in
Pullman where Mira is pursuing a PhD in Education and Guy is a
para-educator at Lincoln Middle School.

Mira Reisberg was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia before coming to the US many years ago. She lived in the Bay area for twenty years where she fell in love and married Guy.

During her time in California, Mira illustrated eight children's books. Some of the art from these books is for sale in this exhibition.

While her more recent work plays with the concept of living in a landscape that is an art piece in its own right, older pieces explore issues of identity, landscape, and culture.

Guy Geduldig is a California-born artist who has worked in photography for the past 30 years.

In the last few years, he has incorporated digital photography as part of his repertoire, becoming a master at manipulating the image to bring out its full potential.

The vast majority of the photographs in this exhibition are from the Palouse, and include some of his innovative
3-D work.
