"The style and humor in my work arises from a life of travel and diverse cultural experiences. I examine the history of architectural ceramics and how mythical sculpture has played a meaningful role in religion and life. Through the combination of ceramic techniques and architecture I reinvent historical ideas and styles through sculpture."

"Much of my work in the last two years is a collaboration with my partner Tanner Coleman (www.tannercoleman.com). Our most recent public work was completed at the Clayarch Gimhae Musuem in South Korea during a residency there. We also had a solo exhibition at the Prichard Art Gallery in August 2010."

"I received a BFA in ceramics from The University of Georgia and a MFA in ceramics from California State University, Long Beach in 2010. As an educator I have taught art and ceramics to children, adults, and university students. Currently I am the resident artist and ceramics professor at The University of Idaho. From December to April 2011 I will be resident artist and ceramics professor at Chulalongkorn University in Bankok, and next August I am an invited artist to SODA Residency in Western Australia."
